The MET Carpet “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” – Dandy Hosts
The 2025 Met Gala saw some of its esteemed Host Committee members, the impeccably stylish Colman Domingo, the effortlessly cool Lewis Hamilton, the visionary Pharrell Williams, and the trendsetting A$AP Rocky, grace the red carpet with their signature flair. Our spotlight is on these influential figures and the sartorial statements they delivered. From Colman Domingo’s bold blue and jewel cape, a nod to Andre Leon Talley and Multi pattern Valentino suit were definitely a HIT! He looked magical and oh so dandy.
Lewis Hamilton’s consistently sharp and often boundary-pushing ensembles was toned down into all the right directions. His creamy Wales Bonner cropped waist tux with shells and tails was immaculate The beret and red jewels were a perfect touch.
Pharrell opted for custom Louis Vuitton (of course). The jacket was beautiful beading with a boxy shape which I liked but the pants and shoes were boring. I would have loved an equally beaded pant or at least beading detail or a beaded boot.
A$AP Rocky wore AWGE, which was a nice look, very classic. A$AP Rocky’s reputation for high-fashion experimentation left me wanting more. The most interesting part of his whole ensemble was his “gunbrella” and beautiful jewelry.
