Haute Living – Sun, Sea & Spa: Inside the Beach Club on Lürssen’s 378-Foot Apho

Ready for a dose of yacht envy? Lürssen’s megayacht Apho, a majestic 378-footer, has captivated superyacht lovers with its design, amenities, and yes, its indulgent beach club that feels more like a private spa-by-the-Sea.
A Splash of Magic Right at Sea Level
What really steals the show? The beach club. Located at the transom (waterline level), it’s a seamless blend of indoor-outdoor luxury. Step down onto a generous swim platform, and you’ll find yourself in a shaded lounge area complete with a water-access cocktail bar, a giant flatscreen, and direct access to the sea.
Zen Meets Opulence: Spa Sanctuary at Sea
But this isn’t your usual yacht hangout. The beach club doubles as Apho’s wellness zone, a nature-inspired spa haven decked out in bamboo décor. Sink into relaxation in the mosaic-clad Turkish hammam, indulge in a massage, or refresh in the beauty salon. According to Moran Yacht’s president, “it’s the most amazing spa I’ve ever seen on a yacht.”
Design That Elevates Every Deck
This space isn’t just built for show, it’s designed to connect you with nature, comfort, and elegance. Nuvolari Lenard masterfully wove organic materials (think wood, bamboo, mother-of-pearl mosaics) across Apho’s expansive six decks. The beach club leads you seamlessly into the spa’s serene world, like wellness flowing right from the sea.

Why This Beach Club Is a Game-Changer
- Indoor-outdoor fusion: Lounge in comfort while dipping your toes in the ocean.
- Dedicated spa space: Hammam, massage suite, beauty room, plus that epic entertainment screen.
- Inspired by nature: Earthy bamboo and mosaic details feel calming yet lavish.
- Effortless elegance: This isn’t opulence for opulence, it’s curated luxury with intention.
The split-level owner’s apartment (aka the duplex cocoon)
AHPO’s crown jewel is a two-story owner’s domain: a ~245 m² master cabin on the owner’s deck linked by a private staircase to a ~95 m² panoramic salon directly above. The suite layers serene creams and soft woods with artisanal detail, think Gustav Klimt–inspired mosaic in the shower, dual his-and-hers dressing rooms and baths with freestanding tubs (one black lined with gold, the other copper lined with rose-gold), and a custom headboard embroidered with maple leaves and blue birds. Two recessed private balconies are tucked into the superstructure for wind-calmed, salt-air moments. The upper salon frames a 180° view through curved, full-height glass; a winter garden just forward can open to the elements via folding glass doors or close into a climate-controlled conservatory. Discreet access to the helipad runs through this salon, keeping the bedroom level private.
The sky-lounge deck: gym, pool, and open-air living
Instead of hiding the gym below decks, AHPO turns wellness into a panorama. A spacious, mirror-walled gym with floor-to-ceiling windows opens onto an aft lounge where an 8-meter pool with a counter-current system anchors the terrace, flanked by a teardrop-shaped Jacuzzi, bar, and modular sun seating. It’s resort-style living with nothing but blue in every direction.
Cinema night, done properly
Tucked on the lower deck is a 12-seat cinema with proper reclining armchairs, a star-studded ceiling, and classic film iconography. Getting there from the main deck is an experience in itself: you pass along a glass-walled gallery that overlooks the yacht’s two-story engine rooms, a wink to the machinery that makes all this theater possible.
The wellness “beach level”: a 205 m² spa world
The lower-deck wellness area spans ~205 m², arranged around the yacht’s roundel in teak. To starboard: a fold-down sea terrace, an oval mosaic Jacuzzi, and a plunge pool stepping up towards a serene sauna and exquisitely tiled hammam. To port: a lounge with bar; further along you’ll find a beauty salon and dedicated massage room. Sun loungers sit right at the waterline; choose open-air breezes or retreat to spa-calm within seconds.
Main-deck moments: boardroom to blue-chip dining
Arrive aft and you enter a relaxed cockpit dining zone; head inside and AHPO switches from barefoot ease to business-class polish. The half-circle boardroom centers on an oval table engraved with a map of Jamaica, a personal homage, below a sculpted glass chandelier. Open the partitions and the room merges into a formal salon with a self-playing Steinway and soft, cloud-pale seating. Forward, the dining room seats 22, rimmed by full-height windows so dinner never loses sight of the sea.
The winter garden: four seasons of al fresco
Just forward of the owner’s salon, the winter garden is a chameleon, rattan and cane furnishings, lush greenery, and sliding glass walls that transform it from breezy terrace to sheltered orangery. It’s the yacht’s quietest flex: sunrise tea, storm-watching in comfort, or nightcaps perfumed by the sea.
Bridge-deck secret: a blank-canvas party plane
Above, the bridge deck hides an unencumbered aft expanse designed to change with your mood, open to the sun, shaded with sails, or cleared completely for sunrise yoga or midnight dancing. Forward, the wheelhouse and a private captain’s cabin keep operations seamless and out of guest sightlines.
Toys, tenders & the clever bits
AHPO carries two custom 12-meter limo tenders, rescue boats, jet skis and more, all tucked neatly out of view. Stabilizers, bow and stern thrusters, and dynamic positioning keep her poised whether you’re swimming off the platform or screening a film. Even the pools are heated with generator heat-recovery, a quiet nod to efficiency amid the indulgence.
Final Wave
If dreams had oceanfront views and mosaic floors, they’d look like Apho’s beach club. It’s not just yacht design, it’s an invitation to drift between sea breezes and spa bliss, all at the water’s edge.
