President and Mrs. Obama’s official portraits were unveiled at the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery in Washington, D.C. today. They joined other Presidents and First Ladies in the historic portrait collection. Artists Kehinde Wiley of Brooklyn, NY, and Amy Sherald of Baltimore, MD made history as the first African Americans to create these Smithsonian-commissioned portraits in history.
