NikeLab: Riccardo Tisci’s Victorious Minotaurs
Riccardo Tisci’s latest work with NikeLab for his fictional NBA team the Victorious Minotaurs (the collection includes an Oxford shirt, track pant and varsity jacket) forms a collection of four menswear, and three womenswear looks and accessories. Tisci aims to usher contemporary sports style into a new, more elevated and chic era. The Italian fashion designer draws from the past, combining different generations of sportswear icons.“I live for sports,“ says Tisci. "There’s always been sportswear in my style, and I believe the mix of sport, street and elegance is really good.”
The Nike Air Force 1 Tisci’s go-to shoe. “I’m
obsessed with the shoe,” he says. “It’s very clean and pure, but at the same time elaborate. It’s the shoe that best represents my style and my collaboration with Nike,” he says. The Collection launches October 12 in North America, October 20 in Paris and October 21 globally at NikeLab stores and nike.com/nikelab.
