Christian Dior Creates a Fashion Film and Mannequins for AW20 Couture Fashion Week
Designers are thinking outside of the box during this pandemic lockdown and that is especially true for Dior at the beginning of Couture Fashion Week. Dior’s AW2020 fashion film Le Mythe Dior is their contribution to Couture for the season. “We started working on this collection during the lockdown,” Dior artistic director Maria Grazia Chiuri explained. “Therefore we knew we couldn’t do a real show, so it was very clear from the start that my reference had to be tied to the dream or fantasy world.”
The Dior mannequins are making a comeback which will be sent ton Dior’s regular customers in a GORG trunk. The “attention to detail that was almost obsessive,” Chiuri explains. The amazing Haute Couture garments were made 40cm which includes skirts to the dresses, jackets and linings.
