2019 MET Gala Red Carpet – Camp Notes on Fashion – Sparkle

The 2019 MET Gala celebrated Camp Notes on Fashion and I will have to admit it wasn’t my favorite theme.  Camp is really an excuse to go way over the top, to mix fashion with quirky style.  When I think Camp I go straight for Drag Queen style which can be stylish and very playful.  The looks tonight were all so very different with some really hitting the mark.  Here are out ab favs that sparkle!

Karlie Kloss is simple and chic in a gold Dapper Dan X Gucci mini dress with billowing black sleeves. | Regina Hall is GORG in gold and black Gucci and with a long train carrying a Dapper Dan X Gucci clutch.

Billy Porter was one of the bells of the ball in a golden angel style look by The Blonds. He was carried in on a chaise lounger by men in gold pants. Now that’s an entrance for the gods!

Janet Mock was radiant in mirrored and feathered Alberta Ferretti. | Aurora James wore a very cool African inspired gown with a basket bodice and grass skirt.

Zoe Saldana in Michael Kors | Regina King in Oscar de la Renta

Gemma Chan is GORG in a sparkling silver column, cape and standout crown by Tom Ford. | Gigi Hadid looked SO awesome in a Michael Kors glittering jumpsuit and coat. I love that he went for a hood and her white eyelashes are perfection!
