We all speculated on what designer Meghan Markle would choose for her wedding day. Some convinced that Viktor & Rolf had the gig and others just completely unsure. Well the revelation was much better than the speculation! She chose Givenchy designer Clair Waight Keller to create her very simple off the shoulder, haute couture gown. It wasn’t my favorite however it was elegant and very appropriate.
Her tiara was from Queen Elizabeth II’s collection of course, the Diamond Bandeau tiara dating back to Queen Mary of Teck. The tiara was created in 1932 from 11 flexible sections of pavé set with large and small brilliant diamonds of pierced interlaced ovals. The center is set with a beautiful detachable broach of 10 diamonds Princess Mary received from the County of Lincoln in 1893 when she married Prince George, Duke of York.
